Berry & Son Featured on BBC One’s Flipping Profit
In 2018, Berry & Son was proud to be featured on the BBC One series Flipping Profit, a show that follows expert dealers as they search for unique finds to restore and resell for a profit—all in the name of charity.
In episode 19, the production crew visited our Brighton shop to film part of their journey. Surrounded by our signature mix of antique furniture, curiosities, and characterful vintage finds, presenter Jacqui Joseph explored the shop’s collection in search of a treasure worth flipping.
Owner Chris Berry even made a brief on-screen appearance, adding a local touch to the show’s story. The filming captured the authentic charm and personality of Berry & Son—something we’ve been known for since opening in 1959.
Appearing on a national platform like BBC One was a proud moment for our family-run business, and a great way to share what we do with a wider audience. It was also a lovely nod to the timeless appeal of antiques and the importance of supporting local shops with real history behind them.
If you missed the episode, you can catch up on BBC iPlayer (Episode 19 of Flipping Profit). And if you’d like to see what caught Jacqui’s eye in person, pop in to the shop—we’re always bringing in fresh stock full of character and story.
